This could be because it's an ebook , but it made reading it a little confusing and annoying. Also there are some spelling errors that are again the result of being an ebook.

Eric Segal is a great writer. Have loved every book. This one long and informative about the road doctors travel to get their education and begin to practice. Recomend
I thought this book was tremendous. It had everything. I started reading and other than things I HAD to do like walk the dog, I did not put it down til I had finished. Loved it!
Strong believable characters, nice combination of medical fact and fictional settings, drama and unexpected humor.

My husband was a married student at HMS at the time depicted in this story. It is our story and I loved it. It is exactly as I remember it.
This medical story is an extremely clever amalgam of the 'fictitious' lives of a set of medical students working their way through their studies into their professional status and the 'reality' of real-life medicine. A great book. I hope that there's a sequel!
Full of honest empathy for the grueling peparation and pressures doctors endure, Segal's Doctors follows the personal and professional lives of several doctors who follow very different professional paths, and have to overcome difficult life challenges. What agonizing decisions each physician must make! We get to hear their personal struggles and witness the life and death consequences of their actions.
The book is pretty good, a bit dated, of course, the ending seemed to be hurried and a bit odd. Since I worked in health care for many years, a lot of the medical parts of the story are somewhat unbelievable, buy hey its fiction! If I totally can't stand a book, I will not finish it, but I did read this one to the end. If you want a diversion but not too heavy of a read, this is a good one.
